All testing is carried out in accordance with the 17th edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations BS7671.

Periodic Inspection Report

A periodic inspection - every 5 years in a commercial building, is carried out to test the condition and safety of electrical wiring. SCCI Electrical will test for many things such as if any equipment is overloaded or if there are any potential electrical shock risks.

The Periodic Inspection Report is also known as a Landlord Safety Certificate or a PIR.

Landlords Certificate

Landlords must ensure their property is safe for all tenants by receiving a ‘Periodic Inspection Report for an Electrical Installation’, which must be carried out every five years. Our certified electricians are able to examine your property and come to a conclusion of whether the electrical wiring meets health and safety regulations. The report issued will be able to prove that all electrical installations of the property are safe. Should any remedial works be required to bring the property up to standard a quotation shall be duly provided.

Homebuyers Certificate

The homebuyers or pre-purchase electrical testing gives you the peace of mind that the property you are purchasing is electrically safe and sound.

PAT Testing

All businesses must carry out annual Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to ensure the safe use of electrical appliances. This service can be provided to your company to ensure that your company meets British Health and Safety Regulations.

Fixed Wired Testing

Electrical installations can become worn or damaged over time. Fixed Wiring testing ensures that all wiring is safe throughout your premises. All our electricians are fully qualified to carry out fixed wired testing. We follow IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2008)
